My name is Tina Colizza, and I built Housizz because I kept watching the same thing happen.
After ten years as a realtor in Ottawa, I saw homeowners arrive at the selling stage unprepared — not because they were careless, but because nobody had ever helped them think about their home strategically. They’d owned their home for years, maybe decades. They’d invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into it. But they had no clear record of what had been done, no plan for what should have been done, and no idea whether the improvements they’d made had actually added value.
Before real estate, I spent years in construction project management, working with trades and contractors on complex projects. Before that, I worked as a business process analyst for consulting firms — helping organizations find the gaps in how they worked and fix them. I have an MBA. I understand how projects should run, what quality looks like, and what a properly managed asset looks like.
